About DermIQ

DermIQ started with a personal journey.

For years, Tahel struggled with atopic dermatitis and the daily challenge of finding skincare products that truly suited her skin. Like many people dealing with sensitive skin conditions, she tried countless creams, cleansers, moisturizers, and treatments—often guided by recommendations, reviews, trends, or marketing claims. Some products helped, others made things worse, and finding reliable information was frustrating.

That experience led to a simple question:

Why is choosing skincare still so difficult in a world where we can sequence DNA, land rockets, and ask AI almost anything?

As we explored the skincare industry, we saw that Tahel’s experience was far from unique.

People spend hundreds—or even thousands—of dollars on skincare products based on marketing claims, influencer recommendations, TikTok trends, or trial and error.

One serum was a “miracle.”

Three months later, it was “toxic.”

A celebrity swore by it.

A dermatologist disagreed.

A friend loved it.

Your skin hated it.

The deeper we looked, the more we realized that skincare suffers from a strange problem:

There is an incredible amount of science, but very little clarity.

Behind every moisturizer, retinol, peptide, vitamin C serum, or sunscreen lies a world of clinical studies, ingredient chemistry, biology, and dermatology research. Yet most consumers never get access to that information in a way that actually helps them make better decisions.

So we decided to build the tool we wished existed.

DermIQ was founded by people obsessed with understanding how things work.

Our founding team brings together expertise in molecular biology, medicine, technology, and artificial intelligence. Together, we became fascinated by a challenge:

Could we combine dermatology research, ingredient science, and AI to help people make smarter skincare decisions?

The answer became DermIQ.

Today, DermIQ analyzes hundreds of clinical studies, thousands of ingredients, and a growing universe of skincare products. Our AI helps connect the dots between what the research says, what products contain, and what your skin actually needs.

But we are not trying to replace dermatologists.

In fact, we deeply respect them.

The best dermatologists combine scientific evidence, clinical experience, and human judgment. Our goal is to make some of that knowledge more accessible to everyone—whether you’re dealing with acne, pigmentation, sensitivity, aging concerns, or simply trying to build a routine that makes sense.

We also believe something else:

Skincare should be less about hype and more about understanding.

Less about chasing the latest trend.

More about finding what works for you.

Because great skincare isn’t about owning 27 products.

It’s about making better decisions.

And that’s exactly what we’re building.

Welcome to DermIQ.

Skincare, powered by science. Personalized by AI. Made for humans.
