A hydroxypropyl-chitosan/PNIPAM hydrogel infused with dipotassium glycyrrhizate (DG) exhibited antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus. In a mouse full-thickness skin wound model, DG-loaded hydrogels decreased inflammation, promoted collagen deposition and tissue remodeling, and accelerated wound closure, outperforming commercial Tegaderm film and 3M dressing controls.
