In this CIR Expert Panel safety assessment, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate was not a dermal irritant or photosensitizer and was not a sensitizer in human clinical studies, though it was mildly irritating to rabbit skin when applied undiluted; the panel judged it safe as used, stressing removal of 1,4-dioxane and ethylene oxide impurities.
