Over a 3-year period, 5 of 1033 patients patch-tested for suspected (photo)contact allergy reacted to decyl glucoside, identified as the sensitizer hidden in the UV filter Tinosorb M. The authors conclude decyl glucoside is a frequent, often overlooked cause of allergic contact dermatitis from sunscreens.
